Psychologist

Cece is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Cece uses a holistic and collaborative approach, empowering individuals to work towards their goals. Valuing the importance of being present, with compassion and empathy, Cece creates a safe therapeutic space where individuals can be taken on a journey to make realistic meaningful changes and achieve balance in their mind, body, and soul.

Cece has experience working in various environments such as community health settings and in-patient units. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan with a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, complex trauma, low self-esteem, ASD, ADHD as well as interpersonal difficulties. Cece utilises a wide range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and self-compassion techniques to tailor to the individuals specific needs.

Cece’s previous experience as an international student has strengthened her unique understanding and intercultural competencies to work with people from various backgrounds. Cece has worked with individuals from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, and understands the dynamic of the therapeutic relationship with the presence of interpreters. Cece has a special interest in working with individuals on cultural-transition issues and adaptation to new environments.

Cece holds a Master’s in Professional Psychology, Bachelor of Psychology(Honours) and can speak Mandarin fluently.
