YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN THIS
You Service Your Car Before It Breaks Down
Your mind deserves the same. Most people wait months before reaching out, telling themselves they should be able to handle it alone. You don't need to be in crisis to ask for support — and nothing you bring to us will shock us. We've heard it all, and we're still here.
At Insightful Living Co., we understand these feelings and are here to offer a listening ear and professional guidance. You don't have to navigate this journey alone.
Understanding, not just strategies
We're not interested in handing you a list of strategies without understanding where things are actually coming from. You're one person operating inside a bigger system — your family, your history, your culture — and understanding that is what gives you real choice, not just coping tools for the moment.
Our psychologists draw on a range of therapeutic approaches — including CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy — tailored to what you need, not a one-size-fits-all program.

Your Questions Answered
We understand that you may have questions about our services. Here are some of the most common inquiries we receive, along with our responses.
Do I need a GP referral?
No referral is required to book with us. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on eligible sessions — we can talk you through this when you get in touch.
Does Medicare cover psychology sessions?
With a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, a Medicare rebate may be available for eligible sessions. Rebate amounts and eligibility depend on individual circumstances — we're happy to explain what applies to you on your intake call.
What happens at my first appointment?
We start with a free intake call to understand what's going on and answer any questions. From there, we match you with the right psychologist and book your first full session at a time that suits you.
Do you offer telehealth services?
Yes. Telehealth is available for clients across Australia, though many people prefer face-to-face sessions at our Surrey Hills or Coburg North clinics. We can talk through what suits you best on your intake call.
Do I need to be "bad enough" to book?
Not at all. A lot of the people we see aren't in crisis — they're just noticing things feel harder than they should, or that they've done everything "right" and still don't feel like themselves. You don't need a diagnosis or a crisis to reach out.

Terms & Conditions
The free 10-minute intake call is available to new clients only, one per person, subject to practitioner availability, and offered on an ongoing basis (no set expiry). It is a brief conversation to see whether Insightful Living Co. is the right fit for you and to answer practical questions (fees, Medicare rebates, availability) — it is not a therapy session, does not involve clinical assessment or advice, and does not guarantee an ongoing appointment. Standard consultation fees and Medicare rebate rules apply to all booked appointments following the intake call.
