Anita Missiha

About Anita Missiha

Principal Psychologist
Anita Missiha is a registered psychologist and member of Australian Psychological Society (APS), providing individual counselling to adults and young people. Anita uses an integrative person-centered approach, combining Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, in addition to Mindfulness and Relaxation and providing psycho-education.

Anita enjoys working with clients helping them to develop strategies to cope more effectively with a wide range of personal problems, relationship difficulties and work-related concerns. Anita has special interests in eating & dieting concerns, anxiety and depression, Adult ADHD, along with managing the stressful demands of life as working parents. Using a respectful collaborative approach, Anita assists her clients to better understand themselves and to function at their full potential.

Anita began her career as a psychologist after working in the corporate sector in the Training & Development field assisting employees develop their technical and management skills and assisting organisations develop their workforce.

Anita holds a Masters in Counselling Psychology, Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology, Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology), Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in addition to a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and accreditation for the use of DISC, Workplace Motivators and Emotional Intelligence psychometric tools. Anita is also a registered practitioner with ACFED (Australian Centre for Eating Disorders).

About Lara Faga

Principal Psychologist

Lara Faga is a registered psychologist and an active member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Lara provides individual counselling to teenagers and adults, as well as couples and groups. Lara has a humanistic and holistic approach, with a deep understanding and appreciation that each individual, and the way they experience the world, is unique.

Lara draws upon her natural empathic and compassionate nature, combined with her knowledge and skills in evidence-based practices, to help guide her clients through the empowering and healing process of therapy. Lara uses a range of approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and has a keen interest in Positive Psychology.

Lara holds a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, an Honours degree in Applied Science (Psychology), Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology), in addition to an Advanced Diploma in Counselling, Certificate IV in Fitness, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

About Kim Coulson


Kim is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Kim provides individual counselling to teenagers and adults, and tends to take a non-judgmental client-focussed approach. You will find her to be warm and empathetic, and she endeavours to provide a safe space for all clients. Kim also has a particular interest in supporting LGTB+ clients.

Kim provides therapy from several different modalities, often with a focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and/or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Kim has special interests in depression, anxiety, and emotion dysregulation.


Kim holds a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, an Honours degree in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Psychology.

Kim also holds qualifications in Veterinary Nursing, as prior to becoming a psychologist, Kim was a veterinary nurse. As such, she has a strong appreciation for the human-animal bond.

About Lana Knapp


Lana Knapp is a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and provides individual counselling to adults and teenagers. Lana works from a person-centred, narrative perspective and combines Emotion Focused Therapy with elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Lana is passionate about helping clients to grow and develop skills to respond to a variety of issues, to feel empowered through the journey of therapy and experience greater wellbeing. Lana has special interests in anxiety and depression, the psychological impact of diagnosed sleep disorders, ADHD and the phenomena of the highly sensitive person (HSP). Using a warm empathetic approach, Lana guides her clients develop a deeper awareness, self-appreciation and step into greater fulfilment and self-actualisation.

Lana has worked in organisational and occupational rehabilitation contexts and has a strong appreciation for the interrelationship between work and mental health and draws on career counselling and coaching strategies according to client needs.

Lana holds a Masters in Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) in addition to a Primary Certificate in Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from the Australian Institute for Rational Emotive Therapy (affiliated with the Albert Ellis Institute in New York). Lana possesses accreditations in Talent Q (Elements and Dimensions), Savile Consulting (Aptitude and Wave), Hogan Personality Inventory, Hogan Development Survey and Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory psychometric assessments.

About Patrick Ghalioum


Patrick is a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) who utilizes a holistic approach to help manage the overall wellbeing of his clients, aiding them in addressing their challenges and working towards their goals.  

Patrick has experience in administering a wide range of cognitive, educational, and vocational assessments throughout the lifespan, and has experience in delivering evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy with young adults and adults. 


He has experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds who present with anxiety disorders, difficulties managing stress, depression, interpersonal difficulties, and with clients recovering or living with physical injuries and or health problems. 

Patrick holds a Masters Degree in Professional Psychology, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology, and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology).

About Tayla Wilson


Tayla is a registered general psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) who utilises a client-centred approach and aims to create a safe, non-judgemental, genuine, and empowering space for her clients.

Tayla has experience in conducting comprehensive psychological evaluation, developing custom treatment plans and providing individual and group psychotherapy for both adolescents and adults. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan in forensic alcohol and drug sectors, and within private establishments, to help them overcome addiction and mental health concerns.

Tayla uses her knowledge of Cognitive-behavioural therapy, Acceptance and commitment therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Dialectical behaviour therapy and Schema therapy, to tailor treatment to best fit the individual’s therapy goals.

She endeavours to help clients develop long lasting strategies and insight into themselves to be able to use and apply outside of the therapeutic space.

Her areas of interest include Adjustment and Behavioural Issues, Mood and Anxiety disorders, Depression, Trauma related disorders, Personality disorders, Grief and Loss, Relationship or family difficulties, Stress management and Addiction.

About Nisha Sharma


Nisha is a registered general psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She enjoys working collaboratively with people of all ages and strives to create a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic environment for her clients. She is empathetic and supportive of her clients, and works collaboratively with them to overcome their difficulties. Nisha is culturally sensitive and identifies as a person of colour.

Nisha has experience working as counselling psychologist at a psychiatric hospital in India with presenting issues of depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, alcohol use disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, bipolar, personality disorders and everyday stress. In Australia she has worked as an ABA therapist and currently working to provide behaviour support to NDIS participants.

She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, older adults and families; with varied presentations including Autism Spectrum Disorder and intellectual disabilities.



Nisha has growing interest in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Therapy and Mindfulness Techniques along with developed skills and training necessary to conduct Cognitive assessments, Vocational assessments and Personality assessments.

Nisha holds a Masters of Professional Psychology, Masters of Science (Psychology), and Bachelors of Arts (Psychology) and can speak Hindi, Kannada, Rajasthani and English fluently and can understand Punjabi, Gujarati and Telugu.

About Ida Ghatge

Administrative Support Officer


Ida is a highly motived psychology graduate and works as the Administrative Support Officer at Insightful Living Co. She is passionate about reducing the stigma against mental illness and hopes to promote a culture of holistic wellbeing for clients and their families. Ida draws upon her empathetic nature to help clients feel supported throughout their therapeutic journey at Insightful Living Co. She volunteers her time with Griefline to help callers get access to support for Grief, Loss, Trauma, and Isolation. As a professional dancer, she is also passionate about the body-mind connection and believes creative movement to be beneficial for emotional healing. Ida has a Bachelor and Honours degree in psychology. She aims to pursue a Master’s in Clinical psychology and Dance Therapy.

Administrative Assistant


Luisa is a passionate counselling student and works as the Administrative Assistant at Insightful Living Co. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Counselling. She is motivated to help individuals, improve their wellbeing through holistic practice and community engagement. She wishes to help individuals from diverse ethnic and indigenous backgrounds better access mental health services. She is committed to supporting all clients at Insightful Living Co. in their engagement with the practice.

Individuals with an active Mental Health Treatment Plan from a GP are eligible for COVID-19 Medicare Telehealth servicesOur Psychologists can conduct video or phone consultations with Medicare rebates applied.

We observe the Victorian Health Service Guidance and Response to COVID-19 Risks (VHSGR) model to prevent the risk of COVID-19 transmission in the community. We consider the health and safety of our practitioners, clients and staff to be of primary importance and adhere to COVID-19 safe workplace practices including :

  1. Mandatory QR-code check ins to enable contact tracing 
  2. Use of appropriate social distancing measures
  3. Use of face-masks in mandated settings
  4. Regular sanitisation of shared spaces, equipment and consultation rooms. 


As restrictions ease in Victoria, please note that we remain open as an essential service and our practitioners continue to hold face-to-face appointments. Practitioners are using their discretion to determine whether they wish to conduct tele-health or face-to-face sessions.
