
About Sophie O'Donnell
Psychologist
Sophie O’Donnell is a registered psychologist, member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and clinical psychology registrar. She provides individual counselling to children (5+), adolescents, adults, and older adults.
Sophie works from a person-centred, evidence-based framework grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Schema Therapy as appropriate. She supports clients to build insight, develop practical skills, increase agency, and respond to their experiences in flexible, values-aligned ways.
Sophie has a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, including autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental differences. She takes a holistic approach to care, with a focus on the interaction between physical and mental health, including sleep and the treatment of sleep disturbances.
Sophie has worked across hospital and private practice settings, gaining a range of experience, including in neurodevelopmental and health psychology contexts. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Genetics), Graduate Diploma and Honours in Psychology, and a Master of Clinical Psychology.
Sophie is committed to providing neuroaffirming, person-centred, and gender- and sexuality-affirming care, supporting clients with a wide range of presenting concerns through evidence-based psychological care.
